Missions & Volunteering

St. Paul identifies as a mission based church. We believe in putting God’s love into action by supporting one another and our community as members of Christ’s body. If you are in need of one of these offerings, wish to volunteer and help serve, or have any questions regarding our Missions then please visit our Contact Us page.

Two Saints Kitchen

Two Saints’ Kitchen is a free meal program jointly sponsored by St. Mark’s and by St. Paul United Methodist (thus the name Two Saints!). Meals have been served at St. Mark’s every Saturday from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm for over three years. We have a van that picks up anyone needing a ride at the Jonesboro Public Library around approximately 10:50 am

This ministry is made possible by the donations of church members, and Harp’s Grocery for their weekly discount on food items.  We have 10 teams that alternate volunteering each week – if you are interested in joining a team once every 10 weeks please contact us today! Drop-in volunteers are always welcome any Saturday. There is also a special need for van drivers, if you feel led to help in this area.

Bereavement Meals

Ladies of the church generously prepare casserole, freezer friendly meals for the bereavement ministry. We always welcome additional dishes and help for this ministry.

Cooking Matters

This is a new ministry starting Spring 2016. We will offer a 6 week, hands on cooking course with nutritional education. This will demonstrate to families how to maximize their grocery budget while still cooking nutritious meals for their family. Each class will include hands on cooking, a nutritional lesson, and take home groceries with a recipe to try! We are currently gathering volunteers to help lead this course. Please contact us if you are interested in joining this unique ministry!
